Dr. Young-myoung Kang is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Sungkyul University, Korea and also the head of the Sungkyul Artificial Intelligence Convergence Institute (SAICI). Prior to joining the Sungkyul University in 2021, he had worked for 9 years as a principal engineer at Samsung Electronics. He obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. from the Seoul National University in 2013 and 2003, respectivley and did B.S from the Gyeongsang National University in 2000. From 2003 to 2006, he was a software engineer at LG Electronics. His research interests are in communications systems, IoT and AI. He is also serving as a professional reviewer for numerous journals such as Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences (HCIS), Journal of Sensors, The Journal of Super Computing, and so on.
